Who is the Course Suitable for?

Learners on this course must be able to read the Qur’an by themselves. The “The Science of Reading the Qur’an” has been designed to cater for learners that know how to read the Holy Qur’an but lack the knowledge of tajweed either partially or completely. This course will help develop the learner’s reading skills, pronunciation and knowledge of tajweed .

Aims and Objectives of the Course:

The aim of the course is to help develop learners to become confident and independent readers of the Holy Qur’an whilst observing the rules of tajweed. The course is designed in a very simple manner such as to render easy for adult learners the theories and rules behind reading Arabic. The course will move at a slightly fast pace but will be in bite-size sessions in order to help adult learners master the art of reading the Qur’an.

 

Course Fees and Method of Payment:

The course will cost £210.00.The fees are payable in full and are non-refundable. Payments can be made in cash or cheque. All cheques should be made payable to The Muath Trust.

Course Timetable:

The course will run during term time only. Your instructor will let you know when the holidays are. The course will run every Monday and Tuesday. Classes from  12:00 to 14:00 and evening classes 18:00 to 20:00.

Week 1-8: Stage 1 + Topics and Task

Week 2 • The rules of tafkheem and tarqeeq

Learning Outcome

At this stage learners should have developed the skill of pronouncing the Arabic letter to a relatively high standard. Have a deep understanding of the madd.

Learning Outcome

At this stage learners should have developed the skill of reading the Qur’an independently and grasped the concept of the rules of tajweed. They should be able to read Qur’an whilst applying the rules of tajweed.Learners should have developed the skill of reading the Qur’an independently along with rules of tajweed. They should be able explain the rules and read any part of the Qur’an with tajweed.
