Arabic School

The Amanah Arabic School (AAS) is one of the oldest supplementary Arabic Schools that offers educational services to children from all communities in Birmingham. It is also an approved GCSE centre.

The main school goals:

1- Offering educational services to children of all communities wanting to learn Arabic language and Islamic culture between the ages of 6-16 years old.

2- Enhancing of Arabic Language skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening).

3- Memorizing the Qur’an with Tajweed, with the correct understanding.

4- Teaching of the basics of Islamic culture and sciences.

5- Organizing various educational and cultural programmes and activities that enable learners to acquire  competency, skills and ethics that enable them to contribute positively to society, and spend their free time in what is useful.

6- Strengthening the bonds between home and school, and encouraging parents.

The yearly academic programme in brief:

Registration:

1- Registration for next year will begin at the end of the academic year starting June.

2- For those interested, the registration form must be filled out online on the Amanah website under the heading for ‘Amanah Arabic Schools’, and the conditions must be accepted.

3- The school opens its doors for students in early September, and closes at the end of June the following year. (The detailed school calendar is uploaded at the beginning of each school year).

4- The number of lessons per day is 3, with 5 lessons on Saturdays. Each lesson lasts 40 mins.

Amanah Arabic Boys School

The school caters for over 250 boys between the ages of 6 to 16 from the Arabic speaking community in Birmingham. Classes are delivered on a weekly basis on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30pm to 8pm. Children are taught Arabic Language and Cultural Studies from the Yemeni Educational curriculum. In the last few years, the best performing students have been put forward to undertake their GCSE in Arabic, with very encouraging results.

Amanah Arabic Girls School

The school caters to over 250 girls between the ages of 6 to 16 from the Arabic speaking community in Birmingham. Classes are delivered on a weekly basis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5.30pm to 8pm. In the last few years, the best performing students have achieved very encouraging results in their Arabic GCSE.

About Amanah Arabic School

Qualifications of school personnel:

This ranges between educational and diploma teachers, and general secondary. Their experiences in the educational field also range between two to twenty years.

Current Approved Curriculum:

The school uses the Afasi and Yemeni curriculum. We also aspire to produce our own curriculum in the future that is more appropriate to the educational needs of the children in the UK.

Main exams:

The two major exams are the mid-term and end of year exams. The students are tested on subjects studied during the academic year, and are awarded certificates at the end of the year.
