Social Events Bookings Terms and Conditions

All terms and conditions in Event Hire & External Speakers Policy apply in addition to the below.

  1. The Hirer should inspect the venue in company with the landlord before and after the function, any defaults should be pointed out and agreed to the condition, as any damage will be charged to the Hirer.
  2. A deposit of 25% of the total booking price is required immediately to secure the booking. This will be returned after the event once Operations Team has confirmed the facilities were left in an acceptable condition with no damage caused.
  3. The full amount of is due the latest 50 days before the event. Failing to do this may result in breach of contract which will result in the booking being cancelled.
  4. The Hirer will remove all their equipment at the end of the function and understands that every day the equipment remains on the premises a sum of £100 will be charged. If the equipment has been hired out then it is still the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure this is removed. Any costs will be charged to the Hirer.
  5. The Hirer will be responsible for the room set up and chairs. All areas are to be left clean and tidy after use. Clients can arrange for Muath staff to clean up after their event at an additional cost.
  6. Hirer must adhere to the Muath Trust Health & Safety Policy.
  7. The Following are not permitted on the premises• Alcoholic Drinks• Pork produce• Qat• SmokingIf these items are found it will result in the deposit being forfeited.
  8. Any music played must be of a reasonable nature.
  9. The Hirer is responsible for the room/ hall set and ensures the area is left clean and tidy. This will be noted on your contract as self ‘Setup and Self Clean’. If this condition is not met it will result in the deposit being forfeited. If the Hirer has paid for cleaning to be done by Trust staff Hirer is still responsible to remove all their belongings from ALL areas at the time their event finishes as noted on their contract. Please note the kitchen cleaning and serving room cleaning is always the responsibility of the Hirer.
  10. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring all areas booked and used are vacated at the stated time on their contract. If this condition is not me it will result in the deposit being forfeited.
  11. The Hirer shall be responsible for the orderly conduct of any function and ensure that nothing shall be done which will constitute a breach of law or in any way cause a nuisance.
  12. Hirer must not exceed the allocation limits, which will be agreed prior signing these, term, and conditions.
  13. In the interest of Health & Hygiene Muath Trust keeps a record of all caterers that come onto the premises. Please fill in details below. (If this information is not available at the initial booking then this can be supplied at time of final payment)
  14. Before proceeding any further, please carefully read this cancellation notice. By signing this form you consent to accepting the cancellation policy and agree to be bound by its terms. The policy will be rigorously enforced.Cancellation policy:• Cancellation 45 days before the start of the Event = no penalty• Cancellation within 45-25 days before the start of the conference/Wedding = 30% of total costs• Cancellation within 25-14 days before the start of the Event = 70% of total costs• Cancellation within 14-0 days before the start of the Event =100% of total costs.                                Bookings will advise you on the terms and conditions, the availability and the costs.
  15. Payment deadlines are different for each type of booking Stand-alone, Long-term and social/ community events. Please clarify this with the Bookings Team.
