He stated the Centre was “conveniently located to enable unemployed people and those with low skills to gain the necessary skills and access the employment growth area in central Birmingham”. Mr Saif emphasized the multi-agency and collaborative approach of the Trust in developing many initiatives, ranging from the Children’s Centre, the Employment and Enterprise Centre, The Muath Trust Development Agency and many other initiatives, truly “one of the original homes of the Big Society”.
In addition to the work of the Centre, Mr Saif took the opportunity to bring to the Prime Minister’s attention the growing humanitarian and economic problems facing Yemen and asked the Government to do all it can to help solve the main cause of this, the political crises, to a good resolution.
In his response the Prime Minister acknowledge the work of the Trust, and confirmed the considerable work being undertaken by the UK Government and its partners to support Yemen to overcome the current political crises.
